Efficient analytical solutions to determine posttranslational oxidative modifications of amino acid residues in proteins

 

The oxidation of amino acid residues has a major influence on hydrophobic interactions and on the stability and biological activity of drugs.
Methionine oxidation is particularly important. Stability studies provide information on the extent of oxidative modification under defined storage conditions (temperature, rel. humidity, light and storage time).

PANATecs offers tailored solutions related to oxidation analyses in accordance with international ICH guidelines:

           •     Chromatographic separation of modified and
                 unmodified protein species, including
                 identification by MALDI peptide mass
                 fingerprint or LC-MS analysis
           •     Relative quantification of modified and
                 unmodified protein species
           •     Localisation of oxidised amino acid
                 residues: endoproteolytic digestion,
                 followed by RP-UPLC-QTOF MSE
