HILIC Chromatography
HILIC chromatography serves to separate hydrophilic analytes, such as glycans, after their release from glycoproteins. By using fluorescence labeling, quantitative batch-specific glycan profiles can be created. These are important in the context of comparability analyses. Like RP-HPLC, this chromatography can be coupled online to ESI mass spectrometry, for the direct identification of the analytes.
